Engage Impact Uganda

While some teams have passed through Kampala and taught students at the International Leadership Training Program school (ILTP), none have as yet served the Impact Uganda Program exclusively.

"Our goal is to support Anne Mwangi as she works to train evangelists and to meet the physical needs of the widows, orphans and refugees she serves."
Dave Adams, Impact Uganda, Canadian Program Leader

Impact Uganda would be pleased to welcome short-term teams that would be dedicated to serving this program. Short-term teams could expect to work with the children's programs that Anne Mwangi has arranged for poor children (including refugee children) who live in Kampala and to help with the refugee feeding program. Some teams may have the opportunity to travel to the north of Uganda to support a ministry to widows and orphans and to teach leadership skills. Team members may become involved in distributing food and clothing to widows whose homes have been scavenged by their late husband's relatives, a common practice. A guest house is now available to accommodate short-term teams.

How to Form a Short Term Team

International Teams Canada works with the local church to mobilize teams for service. Individuals interested in a short-term mission trip should encourage their church leadership to contact International Teams for more information. Teams may be led by experienced leaders from your church or by International Teams' Program Leaders. We provide cultural training to prepare teams and follow-up upon re-entry. We believe that it's not so much what YOU do, but what GOD does in you during your mission experience. To learn more contact canada@iteams.org.
