"Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the rights of widows." - Isaiah 1:17
International Teams values the trust and confidence of our donors. Our financial integrity and our mission to the poor share the same place of honor - they are both priceless and critical to our continued existence and expected growth.
In the following few web pages you can review details about the financial position of International Teams for our most recently audited year (updated to our site each June 30th).
As well, our annual expenditures are available for review. This overview outlines where and how much we are investing. You can see how your donations were invested between program, fundraising and essential administration. You can also see a breakdown of who we served and where we worked.
To ensure our financial accountability to our donors we submit to an annual audit done by a qualified independent accounting company. This audit ensures our continued compliance to the established standards and keeps us current with government and accounting regulations. If you have time, browse through our stewardship principles and audited financial statements going back to 2000. The most recent audit may be mailed to you upon request.
Spending funds received by International Teams Canada is confined to board approved programs and purchases. Each gift designated towards an approved program will be used as directed with the understanding that when any given need has been met, the designated gift will then be used where it is most needed or where the greatest opportunity exists. Gifts are acknowledged and receipted with an official receipt for income tax purposes following Canada Revenue Agency guidelines.
