Memorials and Tributes

You may designate the gift you make to International Teams in honor of, or in memory of, someone important to you. Whether this designation is made for a relative, friend or in humble recognition of the goodness of God, a specific memorial or tribute designation is a thoughtful act that recognizes appropriately. International Teams will notify the family of recently deceased loved ones for whom memorials and tributes have been given.

Tax Benefits

The Government of Canada rewards your generosity by allowing valuable tax benefits for your charitable gifts to International Teams.

Any gift made by you today and received by International Teams qualifies for an income tax credit of 15% on your first $200 and 29% on amounts over $200 to a maximum of 75% of your net income. (Click here for the Canada Revenue Agency details)

Deferred gifts made as part of your estate plan or planned giving efforts offer unique opportunities to support International Teams while receiving tax benefits that, in some instances, can reduce the out-of-pocket cost of each gift significantly. These may include gifts of bequests, retirement funds, stocks and securities, gifts-in-kind, charitable remainder trusts, gifts of residual interest and life insurance.

Legacy

Some donors may wish to give a larger legacy gift. Perhaps the planned sale of a business or home or other assets has opened up the opportunity to make the large legacy gift you've dreamed of.

Documents

You can give through the United Way. Simply designate your donation to International Teams Canada and include our charity number 12659 9919 RR0001. However, please note that the United Way will delete a service charge from your donation. Giving directly to International Teams is recommended.
