Impact RwandaImpact Rwanda

Impact Rwanda takes a holistic approach to meeting the needs of the desperately poor and vulnerable people of Rwanda by offering feeding and education to street children survivors of the Rwandan genocide and HIV/AIDS orphans, support for HIV+ adults, pastoral training, and funding for micro-enterprises in the Kiziba Refugee Camp.

Program Highlights


The Vivante Street Kids Project

  • A weekly feeding program for 200 children, language, math and life skills training through the Vivante Street Kids project

  • School fees paid for 20 primary school aged street children

The Ubuzima HIV/AIDS Association Project

  • International Teams intern homecare in support of the HIV/AIDS Association

  • Tuition funding for HIV/AIDS Association children

  • Some food and medical care for HIV/AIDS Association children

The Kiziba Refugee Camp Project

  • Provides pastoral training and mentoring

  • Supports ITRwanda as they administer programs and training for hundreds of youth in micro-enterprise, business management, sports, and community palliative care, for example.

  • Establishing micro-enterprises

Recent Activity

  • Purchased generator for Kiziba Refugee Camp Youth Association

  • Arranged for technical school training in welding, construction, carpentry and mechanics for a few of our older children per semester

  • Twice a year teams of Canadian Pastors support indigenous pastors during a one week intensive training course.

Future Activity

  • Plan to hire Program Director for Vivante Street Kids

  • Construction and development of The Kayonza Village of Hope
