Impact Burkina Faso

Provides quality education, healthcare and food for over 500 children and vocational training for young men and women.

In the beginning, young boys and girls simply learn how to smile, to play, to be kids. Then, as they learn more, they begin to dream of who they can be and how they can impact their community, their nation, and our world!

Who We Help:

School children, staff and young people who need vocational training to eventually secure work and make a living in their area. Through education and training transformation is made possible in vulnerable communities.

The Village of Hope (VoH)
, located outside of the capital city of Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso provides quality education, healthcare, and nutritious food for over 500 children each year.

VoH provides a high-caliber education to children who would otherwise not be able to attend school. Visitors to the school are always impressed with the thirst for knowledge and level of discipline these students have, and how committed the teachers are to seeing the children reach their full potential. The government of Burkina Faso regularly conducts educational assessments and standardized testing. The VoH consistently ranks among the top schools in the country.

Nutrition and healthcare. Proper health and nutrition are critical components of every child’s growth and development. Children at the VoH receive life-saving vaccinations, regular health check-ups, and free medical care as needed. Malnutrition is a leading cause of death and one of the biggest barriers to children in Burkina Faso reaching their potential. Students at the VoH receive three complete and balanced meals each day, contributing to their overall health and success.

Developing future leaders. The Village of Hope is helping to break the cycle of poverty for hundreds of children and families. Pastor Michel and his team specifically seek out the afflicted, the outcast, and the most marginalized in an already impoverished country in order to provide them with a loving community in which they can grow, learn, and thrive.

CFPC Vocational Centre, provides free practical skills training for young men to help break the cycle of poverty for them and their families by teaching the students employable construction skills.

Young people who receive an education have more opportunities for life and career. Most people work in farming on small plots of land, barely getting by.

Programs are available for a variety of construction trades (general construction skills, masonry, woodworking, and welding), and were developed for young people with basic education qualifications who need more education in order to earn a living wage and support their families. Each course runs for two years, with an emphasis on practical, on-the-job training. This leads to the transformation of neighbourhoods and the larger international community.

The qualifications obtained by graduating students are recognized by the Burkina Faso Ministry of Youth and Employment. The CFPC Vocational Centre also provides employment to local skilled tradesmen, who teach the students the practical skills required to graduate the programs.
Your investment in the Village of Hope provides children with a place to grow and learn, and begin to teach others in their villages to make an impact far beyond themselves. Your investment in the CFPC Vocational Centre increases the opportunities for young people in an area that is limited.
