2020 was a year of adjustment in Romania just like in Canada. Some difficulties and some blessing. On the one hand, we were very limited in hosting orphans at our Family Farm because of lockdowns at various times. The children were restricted to their orphanages or group home for most of the year. This was terrible to even imagine.
On the other hand, we were able to do two important things: first it gave us more time to complete many construction projects in our new farmhouse, more than we would have if we were continuously hosting orphan groups.
We were also able to help orphanages and group homes out by hosting groups occasionally and supplying Christmas gifts and computers (for homework and video chats) and meeting some kids at the fences while social distancing.
Overall, we were able to help out the children and the adults!
