Finding the Intersection of Faith and Vocation

Finding the Intersection of Faith and Vocation

As Neil mentioned in last week’s update, I’m this year’s Forge intern! Although the internship looks a lot different than I expected when I started in the fall of 2020, the lack of travel has allowed me to find the intersection of my faith and my vocation in a way I never expected. I’m so grateful for this opportunity and I hope you will join other generous donors during this year’s Forge fundraising campaign.

People often ask me what the day-to-day activities of the internship look like during the pandemic. I very much look forward to visiting a couple of our programs once travel reopens, but in the meantime this pivot has given me the opportunity to develop even more practical skills that I know will help when I start the next phase of my career.

This has included learning best practices for fundraising and donor stewardship, and using my creativity in video editing, writing, and design to create printed marketing materials for our volunteer program champions. Recently, I've been conducting program monitoring and evaluation with our local leaders around the world, and learning how to ask meaningful questions to stimulate thoughtful reflection and discussion. All of these activities work together to help increase awareness and advocacy about each of our programs and their shared goal of lives and communities transformed by the power of God.

Will you give today to invest in this valuable program? Every dollar you give before March 31 will be MATCHED! Your impact will be DOUBLED.
