Poverty Issues

Zambia, in southern Africa, features stunning natural wonders. Despite strides in development, communities grapple with challenges like limited access to quality education and healthcare. Approximately 54% of the population faces poverty, emphasizing the urgent need for holistic strategies to address economic disparities and enhance livelihoods.

How We Help

In Zambia, our partners—New Life Tabernacle and Cell Ministries—focus on empowering rural communities in the southwestern regions through education, leadership development, and vocational training. By addressing critical skill gaps and supporting local leaders, these initiatives create pathways for sustainable growth and transformation in underserved areas.

Life Impact Training Centre: Building Skills and Leadership

The Life Impact Training Centre, part of the Share Your Knowledge program, provides vital employable skills and leadership training to residents in remote districts. Since its launch in 2012 as Impact Zambia, the program has been equipping individuals to overcome local challenges, fostering both personal growth and stronger community leadership.

A Hub for Community Empowerment

The completion of the Life Impact Training Centre campus will offer education and training to 300 students, serving as a central hub for learning and empowerment. By supporting this project, contributors help unlock the potential of rural churches and communities, ensuring that individuals gain essential skills to thrive and make lasting contributions to the development of Zambia.

Impact Story

Gertrude, a widow raising a child with disabilities, struggled to make ends meet through gardening, often going hungry and unable to afford essential medications. Undeterred, Kizzy consistently encouraged her to join sewing training sessions at the Life Impact Training Centre. Though initially doubtful of her ability to learn at her age, Gertrude accepted the invitation, and with Kizzy’s guidance, she completed the training and, with community support, established a sewing business on a friend’s shop porch in the local market.

The change in Gertrude’s life was remarkable. Learning sewing skills allowed her to provide enough food for her children, cover medical expenses, dress comfortably, and even save for the future. Her story is a powerful testament to Kizzy’s dedication and the transformative impact that sharing knowledge and empowering others can have within a community.
